Dr. Domenic Cianflone, BCom, MBA, PhD, CMA, FCMA

President and Chief Executive Officer

Domenic Cianflone is the founder, president and CEO of Synergy Management Consulting Inc., a boutique consultancy specializing in strategic planning, balanced scorecard formulation and implementation, strategic cost management, and corporate governance. His experience covers many industries including logistics, pharmaceutical, non-profit, recruitment, and wholesale trade. Throughout his career he has consulted on and overseen numerous projects in strategy, financial management, executive education, and human resource management.

Dr. Cianflone is a Lecturer at the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto, teaching courses in strategic management accounting. He has also delivered courses for the Schulich Executive Education Centre in financial management. He has previously held teaching appointments at the University of Toronto, Wilfrid Laurier University, and Ryerson University. He is a published author, having written Cases in Management Accounting and Strategy, Strategic Management Accounting, content for CMA Canada's Strategic Leadership Program, and numerous other management articles. He is a Certified Management Accountant, and has been named a Fellow of the Society of Management Accountants of Canada, FCMA. The FCMA designation is a prestigious, national honorary designation awarded to Certified Management Accountants (CMA) who, through their outstanding achievements, bring distinction to the management accounting profession and serve as a role model to others.

Domenic is a past member of the Board of Directors and Governance and Nominating Committee of the Certified Management Accountants of Ontario. He is a level four Hockey Canada referee.
